More Kurzicks then Luxons? - Guild Wars Forums

So while I wait to get into JQ, I wanted to ask a simple question that I was wondering about, why are there so many more Kurzicks then Luxons? (atleast it would seem that way since it takes forever to get into JQ/FA as a Kurzick)

We don't know, but Kurzicks have always been more popular. And, usually, Luxons spend more time in Alliance Battles than in FA/JQ.

I know that alot of Luxons switched to Kurzick a year or so ago when the AB map got stuck in the Kurzick lands. Several of the guilds that i know had a discussion about it and changed their alliegence because they saw it was easier to be on the other side. Most of these guilds have people in that have maxed their Luxon titles long ago so it was beneficial to change so they could max their Kurzick title too. My own guild/ alliance has had the discussion a couple of times but the result has allways been that we don't want to become treehuggers. So those of us that wish to max our Kurzick title too have been playing on the Kurzick side in JQ, FA and getting guest invites to fight in AB.

It takes Luxons forever (it seems) to get into JQ/FA/AB also.

I am luxon and I enjoy JQ/FA, more so tne AB, I see this too as my guild is luxon, is it that the armor is better looking for Kurz?

Another huge factor is that people know there are countless bots on the Luxon side of JQ so they go to the Kurzick side (which only futher increases the wait time for Kurzicks to enter a match).

Even after the mass ban Arena.Net did, they seemed to miss the JQ bots and they are still there as strong as ever.

There have always been bots on the Kurzick side also. There is no place that is free of them.

The wait time is very short for JQ on the Luxon side. On the Kurzick side there are usually twice, or three times as many people waiting to get in.

The Luxon side is PLAGUED with bots. I've seen so many now that I know what the script looks like, the motions they take, where they will move next. Etc. I'm surprised people aren't getting banned on the spot, and it's really ridiculous in some cases. I've noticed about 3 people botting this past week on the same char, they didn't even need to delete and repeat as is common for the bots.

Clearly no one is scared at the mass bannings. If anything I'm more scared because my account could get banned for using /report so much. So what am I supposed to do? Stand by idly and wait for the said punishment on these losers?

Sounds like the mass banning was just a big move to get people to think "Ooh in GW2 it will be different, they will be doing strict checks always from now on"... Well to me it looks the same, if not worse. I prefer playing with leechers like I did months ago instead of now playing with incompetent monkeys. Luxons win like 1 out of 5 matches in JQ now, and people that are there just for Z-Keys moved over to the Kurz side.

I want to crush my keyboard everytime I see those bots wearing their filthy PvP only armor. You can notice them from the start of the match now, and of course you can't /resign, you can't leave either because YOU get punished.

I've nothing more to say on the topic, other then the fact that Anet is still the same Anet it always has been regarding botting.

Thanks for pointing that out, Captain Obvious. The difference is that the Luxons have way more bots than the Kurzicks do.

Lux is currently the easiest/fastest of the 2 titles to farm in PvE - which alot of ppl does

This makes AB on lux side horrible, as kurzick to the upperhand at all time (due to the maps) - FA i generally easier en on kuz side (Soul Twisting anyone?) and JQ - well thats just JQ

The Jade reward is worthless compared to Amber at the merchant… Its all in the trade value

But honestly Kurzick is the first location people get to in the game at least for PVE. The towns are cool dark and mysterious. Then later you go to the luxons… open space turtle poo filled areas. Not as cool IMO. If the towns were actually on the shell of the turtle then me thinks luxons would be busier

That would be quite interesting, then again at least it's on frozen water. Can't complain to much. I still prefer it over the Kurzick territory.
